Will Daly

Educational Background: I graduated in the class of 2013 from Tam High and I'm set to graduate in the class of 2018 from UC Berkeley (go bears!), where I'm currently enrolled in the philosophy program. In addition to Philosophy, I've also taken courses in Cognitive Science, Computer Science, Neuroscience, and English. My interests include cognitive bias, AI Ethics, and the philosophy of pedagogy.

Educational Philosophy: The essence of my philosophy of education follows the lines of Montaigne's "On Schoolmaster's Learning." I believe that students should always be aware of the purpose of their education, and that everything that a student learns should be assimilated into a single cohesive whole—the understanding that they will carry with them for the rest of their lives.

My goal is always to engender an intrinsic motivation in the student to study the material. It is my view that genuine enjoyment, above all else, is what provides the spark that serves to illuminate the rest of a student's life with a love of learning.
